​National Farmers Market Week is August 6-12, 2023!

If you’re here, it’s because you care about farmers markets as much as we do! National Farmers Market Week is an annual week-long event celebrating farmers markets. It’s a time to support our local markets and highlight the role they play in supporting a vibrant, healthy food system. Here are some fun and easy ways to participate:
  • Write a love letter to your local market: Let your local market operators know how much the market means to you and to share all of the reasons why you appreciate their hard work! 
  • Share your love of farmers markets: Write a social media post letting your network know why farmers markets are so important. Want to reach a broader audience? Consider writing an op-ed for your local paper.
  • Donate: Help support Farmers Market Fund’s work to make farmers markets more accessible  by donating through our website. Consider making a matching donation to your local market!
  • Follow Oregon Farmers Markets Association: Engage with @oregonfarmersmarkets on Instagram and Facebook! 
Make sure to stop by a farmers market to pick up some beautiful, local produce, meats, dairy, and handmade goods. Don’t forget to let the market staff, volunteers, and vendors know how much you appreciate them!
