The Grants Pass Growers Market accepts EBT cards at the Market Information booth  When you run your card for any amount available to you on your EBT card you will receive what we call blue scrip money.  This scrip money is accepted by all fresh food vendors in the Market.  You may not buy hot prepared food.  It is just like using your EBT card at the grocery store.  The blue scrip money comes in $2.00 increments and there is no change given.

In addition to the blue scrip money this year the Grants Pass Growers Market will participate in the Double Up Food Bucks program.  This program is a fund kindly created by the Oregon Farmers Association and sponsored by our local
All Care Health, Primary Health and your Growers Market.  Its' purpose is to add more purchasing power for your buck.

HOW IT WORKS:  When you run your EBT card for scrip money you will receive a matching amount of DUFB cards up to $10.00 only.  If you get $2.00 in scrip you get $2.00 in DUFB, same for $4.00 you get $4.00 in DUFB, same for $6.00, $8.00 and $10.00.  If you get $10.00 in EBT you get $10.00 in DUFB for a total of $20.00 in market money.  The match only goes up to $10.00 and can only be used for FRESH FRUITS, VEGETABLES AND VEGETABLE PLANT STARTS and can only be used in the Grants Pass Growers Market.  You can only double up once per Saturday market.  The blue scrip money does not expire and the the green and orange DUFB money will expire December 21, 2019.

The great part of this program is you can get more of the fresh fruits and veggies which promote healty eating habits and nutrition and this could free up your EBT blue scrip money for other wholesome foods like, honey, cheeses, breads, jams, jellies and processed foods.
